What is Livinit for furniture retailers?

Livinit is spatial intelligence for residential and commercial interiors. For furniture and home-decor retailers, it shows furniture, rugs, paintings and wall art, plants and home decor in each shopper’s own room, in 3D and to scale, on the retailer’s product pages and on its showroom floor. Shoppers film their room on a phone or start from a floor plan, check that a piece fits, compare sizes, fabrics and finishes, and add the rest of the room. In store, a kiosk shows the sizes, fabrics and pieces the floor doesn’t display, and associates pull up the shopper’s room on a tablet. Livinit runs under the retailer’s brand, and shoppers pay in the retailer’s own checkout. Retailers don’t need 3D models: Livinit converts product photos from a catalog CSV into to-scale 3D models, the first 100 free, and a retailer can be live within a week.

Where sales slip away

Why do furniture shoppers leave without buying?

~98% of visitors leave a furniture site without buying

Furniture sites convert about 1 to 2 in 100 visitors. Shoppers can’t tell how big it is or how it will look at home, so they leave to measure or think it over.

How Livinit helps

Shoppers see it in their own room, at real size, right on your product page.

up to 250%Conversion

Reported by Shopify: higher product-page conversion with 3D models viewed in the shopper’s own space

1 in 5 online orders come back

Wrong size, or it looked different at home. A bulky return costs freight and handling, and takes the margin with it.

How Livinit helps

Size, walkways and doorways are checked in their room before they order.

< 2%Returns

Reported by Macy’s: returns on furniture sold with in-store VR, in the same pilot

1 sample is all your floor can show of most pieces

They like the sectional, but not in that size or fabric, and the fabric book can’t show them the finished piece.

How Livinit helps

A kiosk or tablet shows every size, fabric and finish, in their room.

60%+Furniture sales

Reported by Macy’s: more furniture sales when shoppers saw it in VR, in a three-store pilot

1 piece is what most orders are

Selling the rug, table, art and decor around it depends on your associate’s eye and the shopper’s imagination.

How Livinit helps

Livinit suggests the pieces that complete the room, within their budget.

11×Purchase likelihood

Reported by Houzz: more likely to buy after viewing products in their own room

FAQ

What do retailers ask first about Livinit?

Do we need 3D models?

No. Retailers don’t need existing 3D models to use Livinit. Send a CSV of your catalog with product names, images, dimensions and prices, and Livinit converts your product photos into to-scale 3D models. The first 100 are free.

How does it work with our website?

Livinit is embedded on a retailer’s product pages under the retailer’s own brand. There’s no site rebuild and no integration project to start.

Where do shoppers pay?

Shoppers pay in the retailer’s own checkout; Livinit doesn’t take the sale. The retailer and Livinit agree where a shopper’s selection goes, such as the retailer’s cart, product pages or sales team.

What can we show?

Livinit can show furniture, rugs, paintings and wall art, plants and home decor, with the sizes, fabrics and finishes the retailer sells.

How accurate is the room?

Livinit captures rooms at real-world scale from a phone video or a floor plan, for visualization. For critical measurements, confirm before ordering.

Is it our brand or Livinit’s?

Livinit runs under the retailer’s brand, not Livinit’s. Shoppers see the retailer’s products and brand, on its site and in its stores.

How fast can we go live?

Retailers go live with Livinit within a week: they send their catalog CSV on day 1, Livinit builds the products in 3D on days 2–5 and the products are live on the retailer’s site and in store within the week.

How much does it cost?

Livinit converts a retailer’s first 100 products to 3D free. After that, pricing depends on how many products the retailer adds and where it uses Livinit: its website, its stores, or both. Livinit quotes it on one call, before any work starts.
